Ty and Charlotte met in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, MD, in 05/2009 and have been together ever since. Ty and Charlotte both share a love for the beach. After the craziness of moving in together, Charlotte decided they needed a weekend get away at one of their favorite spots: Dewey Beach, DE. While walking on the beach, Ty asked Charlotte if she wanted a surprise. Very excited and said “sure!” He then reached into his pocket and pulled out a bag of Charlotte’s FAVORITE candy in the world: Fresh Market WHITE gummy bears. Seeing the bag she asked Ty if he took the time at the store to pick out all the white ones for me and he said “yes”. Knowing what a process this is made her so incredibly happy and she started running around on the beach.
Ty ran up to Charlotte and asked her if she wanted more. Charlotte of course said “yes” and he said “hold out your hand”. He then put a few gummy bears…along with a GORGEOUS ring in her hand and got down on one knee. She threw the other gummy bears on the ground and started screaming and jumping up and down. She was literally running around on the beach when Ty informed Charlotte that she never answered his question. Charlotte then screamed “yes!” and proceeded to run/jump around screaming “I’m getting married, I’m engaged!”
Charlotte and Ty love the beach (and Charleston!) so much, they fell in love with the idea of getting married by the ocean on Kiawah Island. When they met Taylor, they clicked instantly and had a great experience with her as a photographer. Taylor is a true artist, and truly captured every moment of their wedding.
